The Assemble The Souls Story
Our Beginning
Our journey began in a medium sized basement in the middle of town (Quincy Il.), where two newly formed friends shared a passion for music. Every Saturday we would get together and play music for a few hours. Our friendship quickly turned into a brotherhood. We quickly realized we had been brought together to do some really amazing stuff with our music. Darby Anderson & Hunter Cortez originally formed a band called 9th Hour. We started out as a contemporary christian band. After some time Hunter and I realized our calling was to do hard rock and metal music. We were given a passion for that kind of music. And we really felt a calling to pursue that genre of music and Assemble the Souls was born. Since then Hunter Cortez has moved on to pursue another Project. We in Assemble The Souls wish him much success in his new endeavor. Assemble the Souls consists of some very talented musicians. Darby Anderson (Guitar) Jeffery Merritt (Bass) and Eddie Toolate (Lead & Rhythm Guitar ) From here in Quincy Il. to Troy Mo. and as far as Colorado. We are just starting out and have played a couple of shows locally playing gigs and writing our own songs is what really drives our passion and desire for our music. We cannot wait to get out there and play more shows and see you all at show after show after show.
